Janpara Akihabara 3rd store stops selling at Nakae Building on Sunday 13 September 2026. The buyback floor shuts two days earlier, on Friday 11 September. The shop then moves about ten seconds away into Sato Building 1F, the current Sofmap AKIBA U-SHOP ground floor at 3-14-6 Sotokanda. The new open is listed as mid-September, not a calendar day. This is the first move since 2008.
Last days at Nakae Building
The current address is 3-9-8 Sotokanda, Nakae Building 1F, a seven-minute walk from JR Akihabara Electric Town Exit and two minutes from Ginza Line Suehirocho Exit 3. Hours there are 11:00-19:30, no regular holiday. If you still have a phone, a cracked iPhone, or a parts list for this shop, the 11th is the last day they will take buyback at this counter. Sales keep going through the 13th.
AKIBA PC Hotline photographed Sofmap's own window signs in mid-August: Janpara is coming to U-SHOP 1F, and Sofmap itself is shifting to 2F in the same building. The same block lost BEEP Akihabara earlier in 2026 because Nakae Building is coming down. Janpara has not put "demolition" in its own PR. The local PC press did. Either way, the 3rd store is leaving a building that other tenants have already abandoned.
Sato Building, ten seconds, closer to Chuo-dori
The company page and the 21 August PR TIMES release agree on the new address: 3-14-6 Sotokanda, Sato Building 1F, closer to Chuo-dori than the Nakae hole. Floor space grows. The list they publish is used PCs, PC parts, Mac, iPhone, iPad, other phones, tablets and AV gear, buy and sell. Sofmap AKIBA U-SHOP stays in the same building on 2F, which is the point of the move if you like comparing a used-PC chain against a used-soft and hobby floor without crossing the street.
Hours after the move are slightly messy in the paperwork. The company news page lists 11:00-19:30. The PR TIMES table listed 11:00-19:00. Use 19:30 as the working figure, then check the shop page once the lights are actually on. Opening campaigns are "in preparation" with no dates or discount numbers yet. Do not plan a queue around a sale that has not been priced.
If you hit the dark week
Between 14 September and the unannounced reopen, Janpara points buyers and support to Akihabara 5th store at 3-16-17 Sotokanda, Sumiyoshi Building 1F, 11:00-19:30. That shop is already in the same Suehirocho grid. It is not a parts warehouse the size of the new 3rd store. It is a stopgap so you are not carrying a dead laptop across Tokyo.
Janpara says it runs 62 shops in 17 prefectures as of August 2026. Akihabara is still the brand's home turf. The 3rd store has been on this block for 18 years. The new frontage is the same used-PC job, just on the street people actually walk when they leave Yodobashi.
