MOOMIN POPUP STORE takes Ecute Akihabara's paid-area event space Akiba Link from 9 September to 22 September 2026. Weekdays run 10:00-21:00. Weekends and holidays run 10:00-20:00. The last day, Tuesday 22 September, a public holiday, closes at 20:00. The 2026 theme is Mimla Family, Little My's older sister and the rest of that noisy household.
Akiba Link is a two-week hole in the station
Akiba Link sits inside JR Akihabara Station, same paid zone as the rest of Ecute. You cannot walk in from Chuo-dori without tapping a ticket or IC card. That is useful if you are transferring. It is annoying if you only wanted a T-shirt and you are already outside with a bag of figures from Radio Kaikan.
The same bay hosted other short pop-ups through the summer. After Moomin leaves on the 22nd, Akiba Live lists a Sanrio Hapidanbui pop-up, "Munyugurumi Patio", in the same 1F Akiba Link from 23 September to 6 October. If you are planning two station shops, do not mix the dates.
Mimla Family goods with yen attached
The official popup site, run by Small Planet, lists the current Mimla Family line with tax-in prices. Not every SKU is guaranteed at every venue, and they cap quantities when stock is thin. The Akihabara-named pieces are the ones to look for first.

There are also embroidered T-shirts at ¥3,850, an embroidered bucket hat at ¥3,960, mini wallets from ¥3,630, and roll-up eco bags at ¥1,760. Older Mimla & Friends and Little My lines stay on the table at some stops. The September Moomin.co.jp calendar confirms Ecute Akihabara but does not publish a numbered novelty for this stop the way the 2025 Akiba Link run did. Treat any freebie as a same-day, while-stocks-last extra, not a reason to queue at open.
A second Tokyo stop follows at JR Ikebukuro Station from 29 September to 12 October. If you miss Akiba Link, that is the next paid-area stall in the city. The Akihabara dates are the ones that sit next to Yodobashi and the Electric Town exit, once you have a ticket in your pocket.
